Gaming headsets can be expensive, but that doesn't mean you need to spend a fortune to get a good one. Here are the top 10 wireless gaming headsets for xobox one.

1. Steelseries Arctis 9X

In 2022, the top Xbox One headset

SPECIFICATIONS

Closed-back design for acoustics

4.3 feet/1.3 metres of cable

Drivers: 40mm

Size: 13 ounces

Available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, Mac, and mobile

PURPOSE OF BUYING

+Wi-Fi for the Xbox One

+fantastic sound and 3D spatial on Xbox

+fantastic battery life

CONDITIONS TO AVOID

-It's pricey.

-40mm drivers "alone"

The Steelseries Arctis 9X is pretty much the Xbox One headset of today. Specially designed to work wirelessly with the console, it provides a near-perfect connection combined with a rich audio experience and impressive battery life. It's a great package for anyone serious about audio and getting the most out of their Xbox games. Although the headphones come with 40mm drivers, which are smaller than many similarly priced competitors, they are well tuned and deliver sound that punches well above its weight, while maintaining a nice clarity and richness.

SteelSeries' protective 'headband' design also offers a good level of comfort, meaning you can play for hours without really noticing you're wearing the headset, which weighs in at a respectable 13oz / 368g. The mic is clean, with decent noise cancellation and is retractable when not in use. While you'll never completely remove the microphone, it's hidden enough that you can use this headset as an everyday pair of cans that connect to phones and tablets via Bluetooth. That's a real bonus. You can even connect via a 3.5mm connection if you want to connect to other consoles or devices, although you'll lose out on a number of features like 3D surround sound.

It's a great all-rounder, but plays very well with the Xbox One. If you're looking to seriously invest in a headset that does everything you need for gaming and beyond, the Steelseries Arctis 9X is worth a look. It's also compatible with the Xbox Series X|S, which is awesome.

2. Corsair HS35

The top Xbox One headset for less than $50/£50

SPECIFICATIONS

Closed-back design for acoustics

6 feet/1.8 metres of cable

Drivers: 40mm

Size: 8.8 ounces

PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Mac, and mobile compatibility

PURPOSE OF BUYING

+fantastic value for the money

+Good sound

+Mic is nice and clear.

-CONDITIONS TO AVOID

-lacking frills and features

-just in stereo

Sometimes you want cheaper headphones. But just because you're saving money, you shouldn't put up with bad sound, terrible design, and crappy build quality. The Corsair HS35 is a headset for anyone looking to save money and still get a decent pair of cans for their Xbox One. It's a thoughtfully designed piece of kit that comes in Xbox green, of course, with a sturdy yet comfortable build and some impressive audio qualities.

With memory foam ear cups and a comfortable headband, the Corsair HS35 is still comfortable without being uncomfortable even after hours of gaming, and it's sturdy enough to withstand being put on and taken off your head without too much care. The audio won't win awards, but it's on par with most mid-range headsets and manages some snappy highs (though the bass can't match the likes of the Razer Kraken TE). The mic is clean and detachable, and there's a color-coded cable that plugs into any 3.5mm jack, so it's also compatible with the XSX|S. Simple, easy and very affordable.

3. Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2

SPECIFICATIONS

Acoustic Design: Closed Back, Over Ear

Drivers: 50mm Nanoclear

Weight: 382 g

Compatibility: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC

PURPOSE OF BUYING

+It doubles the battery life compared to the previous generation

+Incredibly comfortable

+Great microphone accuracy

REASONS TO AVOID

-It may be tight for some

The second generation Turtle Beach Stealth 700 comes with some serious upgrades from the previous generation, and for just $50 more than the Stealth 600 Gen 2, it's a serious contender for your next gaming headset.

The Stealth 700 Gen 2 gets an improved design over the original headset, with a slightly muted look (no more bright green on the Xbox version) and a flip-up microphone that folds neatly into the earcup. The control buttons have also been reorganized and moved to only one earcup. The buttons are nicely sized and well spaced, but if you're used to the Gen 1 Stealth 700, you might need some time to get used to them.

The Stealth 700 Gen 2 is quite a bit more comfortable than the Stealth 600 Gen 2, which is saying something, as I found that model to sit pretty well on my head with glasses, but had ear cups that started to pinch after a few hours of gaming. The flexible memory foam cushions with Aerofit cooling gel on the Stealth 700 Gen 2 are incredibly comfortable and allow you to easily wear this headset for hours and hours of gaming.

And these headphones sound great, with large drivers to give you great all-round sound, and the ability to fine-tune the sound to your liking with the Audio Hub. Turn on Superhuman Hearing mode to gain the upper hand in online shooters, or enable bass boost for a real rumble during a heart-pounding mission. The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 is a great headset for the price - and it'll also give you protection for next-gen gaming on the XBox Series X|S.

4. Microsoft Xbox Wireless Headset

For Xbox One, the official Series X headset is a fantastic option.

SPECIFICATIONS

acoustic engineering shut back 40 mm drivers, 312 g in weight Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC compatibility

PURPOSE OF BUYING

+Excellent surround sound and bass

+ Affordable price

+ clear microphone for group communication

AVOIDANCE CAUSES

-Mic monitoring could be improved

- possibly inadequate for larger heads

The Xbox Wireless Headset is Microsoft's official entry into the Xbox One headset market. Despite being primarily designed as a companion for the Xbox Series X, it also functions fantastically with the Xbox One.

The first obvious sign of brilliance is the reasonable price: at just $99 / £89, it is significantly less expensive than rival headsets of comparable quality. It is also top-notch in practically every way: it is wonderfully comfortable, has superb sound quality with a wide soundstage, a powerful bass, and reliable surround sound.

The microphone quality is really the star of the show; it's excellent and cleverly constructed such that it can be tucked away when not in use. On the Xbox Series X, the Bluetooth wireless connection is also among the best we've tested. The headset is the generation gap-bridging device if you enjoy your accessory reps and may find yourself organising your next-generation console setup before tracking down the elusive Xbox Series X stock.

  5. SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox

The top Xbox One wired headphones

SPECIFICATIONS

Closed-back, over-the-ear headphones with cable Drivers: 40mm Length: 2.7m/8.8ft Neodymium 450 grams/1.01 pounds Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Switch are all compatible.

REASONS TO BUY

+Exceptional sound quality

+DAC permits extensive EQ tuning

+ Comfortable

+ also compatible with PlayStation and PC

REASONS TO AVOID

-Microphone cannot be inserted and muted

-The material of the headphones is questionable in terms of durability -Expensive in comparison to comparable cable sets

One of the best wired Xbox One headsets now available and one of the best wired sets we've ever tried is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro.

I don't have to worry about the cat or one of the kids accidentally sitting on it because of the lightweight construction, which keeps the size and weight down while yet feeling comfortable to wear.

The Digital-To-Analogue (DAC) unit offers highly customizable EQ adjustments, letting you get the sound exactly how you like it. The audio quality in stereo and surround mode is simply outstanding across the board, whether you're playing action-packed action/shooting games, captivating RPGs, thoughtful adventure games, or watching streaming content from the internet.

Compatibility with other platforms, such as PC and PlayStation 5, is the cherry on top; you can actually have it plugged into an Xbox and another device at the same time and move between the two systems without removing the headset.

The main drawbacks are the extremely high price ($279.99/£249.99), which makes it one of the priciest mainstream wired gaming headsets available right now, and the material used for the ear cushions, which is a type of leatherette and, in our experience with other headsets, has a tendency to split or degrade over time, especially in hot conditions or under very heavy use. The lack of retract-to-mute functionality for the good microphone is another a missed opportunity, and the requirement for a connection to run from the DAC to the Xbox adds yet another obstacle that may potentially get in the way (or cause you to trip over) while playing.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro for Xbox, however, offers an incredibly fantastic audio experience on Xbox, so overall these aren't enough to change that. Therefore, this is an excellent and strongly advised choice if you have the money and don't mind the wired setup.

6. Turtle Beach Recon 500

After a model update, the XSX now has excellent quality and value.

SPECIFICATIONS

Over-the-ear, closed-back acoustic design

Eclipse 60mm drivers

Weight: c.600g

Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Switch, and mobile devices are all compatible.

+PURPOSE OF BUYING

+THAT outstanding sound

+No "gamer aesthetic" flair or peculiar design

+With no distortion

CONDITIONS TO AVOID

-Nothing unique about its building components

If you own or plan to buy a new-generation console, this headset is a strong contender for the title of finest Xbox One headset. And that's all because to the Recon 500's straightforward wired connection, not to mention the fantastic value and superior audio quality it provides.

Since Turtle Beach's newest in the long-running brand costs less than $100/£100, the Recon 500 won't have opulent gamer-y design flairs or the highest quality materials. Importantly, you will discover sound quality that will wow you and an Xbox One headset experience that is not only affordable but also provides excellent performance and value.

Technology for injecting wood composites. drivers 60 mm. Each earcup has a dedicated woofer and tweeter. The combination of detailed high end, ultra-responsive bass, and a pleasingly flat EQ curve with just a hint of perceptible kick farther down the spectrum results in a forceful burst of sound that is sharp and accurate despite not sounding like the recipe for it.

So you have that. Go to the bank with it. This straightforward wired device, which naturally gives better flexibility and compatibility, lacks many additional features instead having only a mic mute, detachable mic arm, and volume scroll wheel as physical controls. Then, this is not one for constant tweakers, but those who appreciate value, simplicity, and inherently excellent music should check out this new Recon.

7. Gaming headset LucidSound LS50X

For Xbox One in 2022, a high-quality yet costly option

SPECIFICATIONS

+USB Bluetooth dongle, 3.5mm aux wire for connection

+20 hours on a single charge

+Size of Speaker: 50mm

+Flat EQ, bass boost, movie mode, music mode, signature sound, and more EQ modes

+Dual microphones, one adjustable boom, and one built-in

PURPOSE OF BUYING

+Clearly well-made, sleek, and elegantly crafted design

+Dual microphones make it versatile.

+EQ enhance the already excellent sounds.

CONDITIONS TO AVOID

-costly in comparison to most

-After a lengthy playing session, my ears hurt

The LucidSound LS50X gaming headset is pricey, just as it appears to be. The brushed silver metal of the headset's chassis contrasts sharply with the quilted black leatherette headband cushion and the black memory foam ear cups. It looks expensive and classy, yet at $250, it's a terribly expensive headset.

The audio is of the calibre you'd anticipate from such an expensive piece of equipment: The diversity of EQ presets allows you to fine-tune the bass to your exact preferences, and the 50mm drivers produce an amazing bass. With the LucidSound LS50X, it is simple to hear the footsteps of hostile Spartans in Halo Infinite, and gunfire sounds clean and precise.

It only takes a few minutes to plug in a dongle to connect the LucidSound LS50X to your Xbox One (or Series X/S) (although I initially had an issue, I think it was more user error than anything else). The LucidSound LS50X's controls are a little challenging to get used to because they are built directly into the headset itself. Most headsets have earcup buttons for audio modes and volume. With the low profile controls, you must click on the earcup's centre circles to toggle between modes or mute, and you must turn the outer circle of the cups like a dial to modify the volume. I initially struggled to change the chat volume since I was a little lost.Once you get it, though, it's very cool — especially when you realise that you can utilise the Bluetooth connectivity to answer calls or switch Spotify songs.

8. Razer Kraken Competition Edition

The best price the Xbox One headset

SPECIFICATIONS

+Semi-open Back: Acoustic Design

+Cable length: 1.3m/4.3ft

+Drivers: 50mm

+Weight: 12.6oz

Xbox One, PS4, PC, Switch, Mac, and mobile devices are all compatible.

PURPOSE OF BUYING

+Superb multitasker

+Sound quality via a normal connection

+Really cosy

CONDITIONS TO AVOID

-The mid-range sound could be more lucid.

-Xbox lacks a few functions.

The Razer Kraken Tournament Edition is fantastic. You get a lot of headset for your money here for the price of $80 or £75. The 50mm drivers produce 5.1 sound that is powerful and clear, easily matching the quality of headsets far more expensive than the Tournament Edition. It's one of the greatest headsets for online gaming, assisting you in accurately and reasonably detecting opponent movements and distant firing.

In addition, the Kraken TE is lightweight, comfy (due to cooling technology in the ear-cushions), and durable—three qualities you truly need in a mid-priced Xbox One headset. The retractable mic is clear but not particularly spectacular, and the wired connection has an in-line control for volume and mic muting (although this only now functions on PC). Our former winner, the Razer Kraken Pro V2(opens in new tab), has been replaced by the TE since it now provides better value and audio for about the same price (in some circumstances, you can even find it cheaper).

One of the most comprehensive and adaptable headsets we've tried, it offers excellent value for the money. The cherry on top is that it works with the Xbox Series X and S. That bright Xbox green colour is the icing on the cake.

9.Corsair HS75 XB Wireless

Has a fantastic positional audio mic, ideal for multiplayer

SPECIFICATIONS

+Design for acoustics: Closed Back

+Drivers: 50mm

+Weight: 13.2 oz (374g)

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One compatibility

CAUSES FOR BUYING

+good microphone

+Stunning audio with a powerful bass

+Has a premium Dolby Atmos app included.

DANGEROUS FACTORS

-Really large

-A little expensive

The Corsair HS75 XB Wireless is a product that is "made for Xbox" that connects to your Xbox without the use of a dongle. However, the connection is strong, steady, and dependable unlike some other dongle-free Xbox One headsets. The booming pair of 50mm drivers on the HS7b XB are the star performers in terms of performance. These enable the headset to flourish in the craziest of encounters and passionate battles, and a unique feature, the mic, makes this a fantastic gaming headset for multiplayer. In addition to being exceptionally clear, the mic also provides some of the greatest isolation available, greatly reducing ambient noise. When you add a long battery life of roughly 20 hours between charges, the overall product quickly becomes very alluring.

Fans of high-end audio will be happy to learn that the HS75 XB includes free access to the Dolby Atmos app for Xbox (normally $15/£15), which includes equaliser settings and audio presets for gaming, movies, and music.

These settings are especially useful because they provide both general versatility and the ability to control the treble, which can occasionally be a little piercing. Even though not many games currently support Dolby Atmos audio in its entirety, you should play with the app's options because you can enable good positional audio, which could give you an advantage in online shooters.

The brushed metal earcup yokes feel like they'll protect the headset from any drops - on their sides at least - while also looking good, which further justifies the purchase price. The design and build quality are also factors in this decision. The HS75 XB is comfortable to wear because to the leatherette trim around the headband and cups and the plush padding. Although they do feel quite large, even with the smaller band settings, the fit was quite loose, especially over the ears. On the other hand, this allowed our ears to stay cool.

10. The Xbox One Razer Nari Ultimate

High-quality wireless audio and a feature-rich design

Soundproofing: Open Back

the wireless cable's length

Driven: 50mm

15 ounces.

The Xbox One and PC are compatible.

REASONS TO PURCHASE

+Haptic feedback feels good

+Excellent audio quality.

+Very reliable wireless

+MICR isn't the best, so avoid using it.

Although the Razer Nari Ultimate is a fantastic gaming headset, it is very expensive. The headset not only provides fantastic surround sound but also haptic feedback, which causes it to vibrate in tune with the audio so you can actually feel loud noises (usually explosions). Although it may appear to be a gimmick, this genuinely alters how you play a game, so if you enjoy action games, this headset is unquestionably for you.

The Nari Ultimate is wireless, and considering that it provides haptic feedback in addition to the standard audio features, the battery life is surprising good. It includes a retractable mic, is softly styled, feels wonderful while wearing glasses, and is comfortable. The mic, which doesn't provide the same high-end sound quality as the rest of the headset's features, is actually the only serious problem. Not terrible, but also not the best on the market. Therefore, if you talk a lot, it can be a problem. If not, the Nari Ultimate is the best Xbox One headset we've tested and it will work with Xbox Series X|S! If you have the money, we highly recommend it for the experience of using it alone.

To use this Xbox One-specific Nari Ultimate headset with your PC, you will need the Microsoft Wireless Adapter as it does not have a 3.5mm connection option. It is important to note that this headset is very focused on the console and gaming.
